Believe it or not, life has been surprisingly low key. I've been practicing good margins in life and actually have learned to say no more than yes. It's exciting. It's peaceful. It's nice to be home for more than five minutes at a time unless I'm sleeping.
That's all well and good...but this weekend blows all of that peacefulness out of the water. As soon as I leave work tonight, I'm immediately off to a church leaders retreat in Estes Park (as long as the weather holds out - there may be some snow....) that'll last until mid-day tomorrow.
Then, tomorrow, I'll race down from the mountains, do a few errands, run home to get dressed and go to my work Christmas party.
Sunday, there's church (if I don't get in too late from the work party), then a few hours to clean my house before I go to my friend's good-bye party (she's going to be in Sudan for eight weeks). Then, there's a Jeremy Riddle concert (think: Sweetly Broken for those of you who listen to Christian radio) and I know a few of the band members so I really want to try to get over there. Then, it's time to hang out with Tiffani (to catch up, hear about her time in Uganda and, of course, watch Brothers and Sisters).
I'm tired already.....
Thanks goodness my life isn't this frenetic all the time anymore.....
