The highlights of the past week have been:
- My dad's being completely okay after a car accident where he rolled his car a few times. The car's totalled...and he doesn't have a scratch on him!
- Sitting in a hottub outside with six other girls in Graby, CO, during the first snow storm of the season and some fierce winds. It was COLD. Needless to say, we didn't last in that hot tub for very long...as the steam rising from the hot tub turned quickly into microscopic ice pellets.....brrrrr....
- The entire weekend in Granby with those six girls...it was a somewhat random group of ladies...but we really had a super, relaxing time...great location, great food, great conversation...and "The Diary of a Mad Black Woman" is a facinatingly hilarious movie. :)
- Spending more and more time with my friends Ryan and Sherry (and their daughter Kristen) who moved here from SC a few months ago.
- Watching the Rockies in the world series (even if they are down two games right now)
- Chances to speak into the lives of my co-workers and friends - both planned and impromptu
The things I'm looking forward to in the next week:
- Doing worship on Sunday morning...I think it's been over a month since I've been on stage...I've been doing sound/projection for the past number of weeks. It'll be good to get to play and sing again. :)
- Going to a corn maze and my work's halloween party (still have yet to figure out what my costume will be....) on Saturday
- Getting to talk with Jennie tomorrow...yippee!!!!!!!! :)
- Having nothing scheduled between now and the halloween party except getting to talk to Jennie
- Having someone to watch "Brothers and Sisters" with each week (my guilty pleasure TV show)...yea, Tif! :)
- Getting a pedicure next week (all the ladies in my office are having a "spa night")
- Maybe going to the Art Museum (I'm embarrassed to say I've not been there yet!)
Lots of stuff....and fun stuff at that....but, nothing emotionally/spiritually intense right now...which is quite welcome given that the past two-three months have felt like one big roller coaster.
